This finely crafted hollow body delivers the full bodied tone that its appearance implies. The old-world construction showcases a Spruce top, Maple back and a set-in Canadian hard Maple neck. Other features of this Cort Yorktown include a floating bridge with fine-tuning, a harp tailpiece, block inlays, vintage tuners and a big pickup upgrade featuring the ClassicRocker-II humbuckers.
Set-in Neck Construction
The Yorktown is all about big and bold tone. To fully maximize the Spruce top, Maple back and sides and the hard rock Maple neck, Cort’s craftsmen have carefully set this neck into the body using a classic dovetail joint. This delivers enhanced sustain and tone.
T.O.M. Bridge & Harp Tailpiece
To deliver its tonal promise the Yorktown is equipped with a floating tune-o-matic bridge. This provides additional fine-tuning for perfect intonation. The tailpiece is a classic harp-style which is both attractive and functional.
To maximize the big bold sound of the Yorktown, Cort equipped it with two ClassicRocker-II pickups. Each humbucker is overwound for a little hotter performance than a typical PAF pickup.
