We're thrilled to share exciting news from the world of acoustic guitars! Our very own Cort L60M, a standout in our 60 Series line, has been honored by Guitar.com as the “Best Budget Acoustic Guitar.” This is a fantastic acknowledgment, and we couldn't be prouder.

This recognition from Guitar.com follows their earlier, in-depth review of the L60M back in March 2023, where they offered wonderful remarks about the guitar's performance and value noting its “lively and characterful” tone. Reviewer Sam Roche highlighted the guitar’s “impressive dynamics” and described it as “a lot of guitars for the money.”

So, what makes the L60M stand out?

Designed with a focus on delivering rich tone and comfortable playability at an accessible price point, the L60M features a comfortable OM(Orchestra Model) body size. This body shape is known for its balanced sound and comfortable feel, making it a smart choice for both strumming and fingerstyle playing.

The L60M features mahogany back, sides, and top, with abalone rosette and white purfling, advanced x-bracing, a laurel bridge and black body binding. The 25.5” (648mm) scale length neck is also made of mahogany and uses a dovetail neck joint for maximum tone transfer, sustain, and durability. The 20-fret fingerboard is made of laurel, featuring white dot inlays, and a width of 1 11/16”(43mm) at the nut. A traditional 3-on-3 headstock with diecast tuners and open pore finish complete the look of this guitar.

The open pore finish not only keeps the guitar lightweight and resonant but also allows the natural tone of the woods to come through with clarity. The result is a guitar that’s equally suited for beginners looking to invest in a solid first instrument, or seasoned players needing a dependable, great-sounding acoustic at an accessible price point.

An optional upgrade for all the 60 series models is the CE304T preamp. This unit features a 3-band EQ, volume control, and a built-in tuner. Models with the onboard preamp have a CE suffix after the model number. All models with the built-in preamp also feature a cutaway body to allow for easy access up into the higher frets.
