What's Changed on Cort Acoustics (And What Hasn't)

April 17, 2026
Eearth60

Over the past few years, Cort has introduced several updates to the design and visual specifications of our acoustic guitars to reflect evolving player preferences and current market trends, while maintaining the same trusted construction standards and performance. These updates, particularly those introduced within the past one to two years, have focused primarily on visual elements such as the logo and soundhole label. They do not indicate any difference in build quality, tone, or craftsmanship compared to earlier versions.

Because these changes were implemented gradually across production cycles, both previous and updated versions may still be available in the market. As a result, you may notice slight differences between product images on official websites or dealer channels and the actual instruments currently in stock. We would like to clarify that these differences are a normal part of production updates, and that all versions—past and present—are genuine Cort products built to the same quality and performance standards.

Key Visual Updates

Recent changes include:

  • Updated Cort logo applied to the headstock
  • Removal of the headstock symbol inlay
  • Revised soundhole label design

Please note that soundhole label designs may vary depending on the series, such as the Masterpiece, Gold, Standard, or Classic lines.

These changes are visual in nature and reflect a refreshed brand presentation rather than any change in performance or reliability. If you notice differences between product images and the instrument you receive, this is simply the result of updates introduced over time.
