Kim Sae-hwan began his career in the 1960s at Korea's first public music listening café, C'est si bon, before making his debut as a singer in 1972. He quickly rose to fame, winning the Newcomer Award at the TBC Music Awards in 1972, the Best Male Singer Award at the Broadcast Music Awards in 1975, and prestigious accolades such as the MBC Top 10 Singers Award and the TBC Top 7 Singers Award.
