Since 1987, Shah Sidious has been the bassist and vocalist for the Malaysian rock band “Cromok,” pioneers of Malaysian thrash metal music. On October 14, 2023, Shah Sidious performed at Cromok’s “Forever in Time 30th Anniversary Concert,” which took place at Zepp Kuala Lumpur. The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC) supported this performance, which featured several thrash metal tracks.

Shah Sidious is the bassist and vocalist of Cromok, a thrash metal band from Malaysia. The band was formed in Australia in 1987 by four students studying at the University of Wollongong.

Both Shah Sidious and Cromok are also known to be a legend in Malaysia. Cromok is regarded as a highly respected band in Malaysia despite being semi-underground (they have a major record label deal with EMI (Malaysia) which is not considered underground for most underground purist).

With their straight up thrash metal sounds, Cromok were the Metal gods of Malaysia, worshipped and revered by all metalheads in the country. Their song structures is characterized by very simple riffs and minimalist drumming overlaid with very complex and epic guitars solos.
