The L100OCF-CED & MR500F-CED: Vintage Aesthetics with Modern Performance

For acoustic guitarists looking for something a little different yet familiar with key modern features, we introduces the MR500F-CED and L100OCF-CED acoustic-electric guitars.

The MR500F-CED is a full-size dreadnought body guitar. With a wider lower bout and deeper body, the dreadnought offers a powerful bass response and loud projection. It's a flat picker’s dream, and the cutaway design provides easy access to the top end of the fretboard. Perfect for dynamic chords and heavy strumming, these guitars measure 1 11/16” (43mm) at the nut, making navigation easier.

On the other hand, the L100OCF-CED features an orchestra body. Compared to the dreadnought, the orchestra model is considerably smaller but has a wider string spacing, measuring 1 ¾” (44.5mm) at the nut. This smaller, cutaway body and wider string spacing make these guitars ideal for finger pickers, providing great comfort for extended playing sessions for players of all sizes.

Both models have a solid red cedar top, which is highly valued for its warm and rich sonic character, offering exceptional resonance and responsiveness. When paired with mahogany back and sides, this combination delivers a well-balanced sound with a warm midrange, making it perfect for a variety of playing styles, from gentle fingerpicking to dynamic strumming. The sleek black satin finish applied exclusively to the top creates a bold and modern look, while the clear satin finish on the back and sides highlights the natural beauty of mahogany. This dual finish design provides a refined contrast that is both sophisticated and understated.

The delicate Aged White binding and rosette add a touch of classic elegance, enhancing the guitar's visual appeal. The matching Aged White pickguard not only protects the top but also contributes to its timeless aesthetic, reminiscent of vintage acoustic designs.

The dovetail construction allows the mahogany neck to transfer sustain to the body, providing enduring performance. With a 25 ½” scale length, the 20-fret ovangkol fretboard ensures comfortable playing. Tuning stability is enhanced by an ovangkol bridge, a PPS nut, die-cast tuners, and D’Addario® XTA PB1253 strings. Equipped with Fishman® S-Core pickups and Presys electronics, these instruments deliver versatile sound options, offering the flexibility to excel both on stage and in the studio.

Seamlessly blending vintage aesthetics with modern performance, these two new instruments bring warmth and resonance to production models at an attractive price point. Both models are now available online and at select retailers worldwide.
