The name Dead Man’s Path is a nod to the left-hand path of black magic, symbolizing the worship of all the dark entities of the world.

Dead Man's Path draws inspiration from bands like Aeon, Grima, Blackbraid, and Cannibal Corpse. Their music is heavily influenced by early Swedish death metal giants such as At the Gates and Entombed, while also incorporating elements from newer bands like Behemoth and Baest. The band’s songs delve into the dark and mystical, telling tales of creatures from Swedish folklore, such as Näcken, myrlingar, and skogsrået.
